All right boys, girls – i guess! If you want to identify as a siberian bobcat, i don’t give a, but you’re a boy or girl. Welcome back to the channel where we do colts away, i’m at a buddies house. Right now i went to high school with they got to set up here called call it the compound. I can’t tell you how many how many nights we stayed here in high school and how many did deer were in there.
That’S another story for another time, but uh we’re gon na do a little parts upgrade on my buddy’s truck stay tuned and if y’all thought i wasn’t growing a mullet, i mean what what you don’t want it. Let that thing fly all right boys now. You know. There’S a prerequisite on this channel before we do anything, we’ve got my freedom funnel and we got latte any good job starts with a latte. Give me a double l, lattes and, ladies, give me a triple o lattes, ladies and liberty.
What i’m gon na take this little sip take the edge off um. I don’t smoke, but i imagine i’d be like my morning cigarette what all right my buddy shop down here, went to high school one of my best friends. We got a compound down here, but we’re gon na get to the video in a minute. But first your boy got to get feeling right: let’s roll, all right. So what we got here today, uh this is just a you know: pipe got an easy link.
I’Ve never done one of these, but we’re going to try to do a shift on the fly, knob and cody. What is this? A 19? You got a 19 huh. Is this limited or platinum flat?
Yeah? I got a little old peasant xlt here. This uh polaris ranger north star is worth more than my truck. That’S his little weekend little ride. I don’t know how many toyotas i got out there on 40s or whatnot.
Those are 44 19 and a half 44 inches tall 195 inches wide on 20s and uh cody’s pretty much running the same setup. I am except he’s running a 38 13 50
I’M running a 37 1350 but uh as they say you can’t hide money or good mullets. Look at that mullet puts my mullet to shame so he’s got he’s, got the worn front, end front bumper. I got a road armor and this mullet is legit. I’M kind of jealous, because that’s all i got after a year – he grew that overnight, but he probably can’t grow a beard all right.
Let’S get it all right. Boys get under the damn truck, find your pipe right here. You’Re gon na these are this end. Is welded on so you need to take it off right here this this handle on screw so on, take undo them two bolts and then at the end, you’ll come in here. Take this off!
Take that off! There’S bolts right here as well, but first first thing you got to do before you take any bolts off everything. That’S plugged to this exhaust. Take that off so you’ll have to take. You can leave that on, but it plugs in so you’ll follow it up, like you’ll, have to unplug that i’m not going to go through here and tell you everything that you need to unplug, because if it connects to this dpf filter, you’ve got to unplug it.
Okay, just unplug it all like this – will unplug focus this alone plug all. This will unplug this unplugs when we get down to the end i’ll go through and uh kind of count how many plugs. But when you get everything unplugged take the bolts on the front off. Take that off this thing will drop down um and then you know, and if anything, any other wires are still connected to that just unplug it all right. Dumbasses literally, i’ve got two videos on this already, so i’m not gon na go through everything, but you just everything.
That’S connected. You just got ta unplug. Okay, we’ve got everything unplugged now, so we’re gon na go undo. Those bolts up there that i showed you and you got to go from the front side because the back ones are welded on the nuts are welded, and then we’re going to go right over here and take these off as well. Okay and then we get this done, we’ll have the exhaust drop down and then we’ll kind of go from there.
This video is going to be going to be quick, it’s not going to be like the other ones, but i’m going to try to show you how to do the little shift on the fly knob – and i don’t have any video on that. Yet so maybe this video be more like for that, but anyway, that’s how i’m doing it, because it’s my way all right. So we got this fat turd off of her. I don’t know what do you think it weighs 100 and something a little probably a little over 100 pounds, she’s she’s she’s feeling a lot better now um, but we got that we got. We had.
We got a factory replacement for that one uh, this one’s bad. So we ordered a brand new one and we’re gon na put that on now, but uh, oh yeah yeah got got a better mullet to me. Bigger arms, much higher testosterone, wonder how he gets that, but got bigger, bigger boggers than me. I don’t even have buggers. I can’t afford them.
I can’t even afford to spare up there but uh, so we got the factory replacement, dpi filter about to go on and uh. Like i said, i’ve got other videos on how to do it, then we’ll get up under the hood and do what we got to do, but we’re gon na. This main part of the video is gon na be about uh the shift on the fly knob, but before we get too deep into anything, you know what i got to do. Cody hold this for me, dawg i got to crack a latte push lattes and ladies double l’s just tell me that this ain’t, this ain’t – beautiful – no i’m talking about this, but just look at this everything’s perfectly in order can’t hide money. Hello, snap-on, beautiful, beautiful, blue.
Just something about it all right boys, once you got the faulty factory dpf filter on and you put the new factory dpf filter on then you’re gon na have to go under the hood. I was just looking on mine to remember, i mean there’s toys everywhere here, but what you’re gon na have to do is you got ta, i’m not putting block off plates on. We just unplug everything so you’re gon na have to unplug this one you’re gon na unplug that one and then there’s one more over you’re gon na have to unplug that one right here and i mean you – can see where the dip stick. Is it’s right here. So you’ll unplug that and then this one and that little one right there, but i’ve got a video on that already, so we’re fixing to unplug all that.
So we got these uh. These unplugged got them zip tied right here and in order to get that one, it’s easier. If you take that pipe off right there, you can reach your hand down there and get it where you can actually reach in there and get it from the side. If that pipe’s, in the way it takes a lot longer, all right done he’s got it right there and he’ll, just zip tied up his 38’s look good he’s doing the same thing i got really so we got a two and a half inch puck up here And and he’s got fox shots, i’m not that rich huh! You got two and a half inch puck and then a one inch on the bottom.
Huh yeah he’s the one that told me so the two and a half inch kit with a one inch polymer. On top because the winch member brought it down so yeah, so i did the exact same thing: it’s a two and a half inch on top and then huh see mine’s opposite he’s got a two and a half inch down here on the bottom and a one Inch on the top on and he does not have a radius arm drop whatever they are. I don’t have them either they say you got to have them, but you don’t so mine’s. Just the opposite, see. I’Ve got a two and a half inch on the front and then um.
I got a one inch right here on the bottom coming from this other angle. So if i can’t even get in there but just know, i got a one inch right there. So it’s a three and a half inch lift. I don’t have radius drop bracket either or nothing like that. So they say you got ta have, but you don’t.
I never had death wobble once i wish i had this thing, though i got a ranger, but mine ain’t, no north star. How sweet is this screen should be coming there. We go yeah, that’s third world problems right here, fellas i got this, but i had the first problem out of my ranger and i do love it. Just like i love this mullet. Follow me a latte dang.
We got to get us a latte son. Well, you thought i don’t cut that thing, because i’ve been in my a for a while. You thought wrong got my bed back there camping the other day at the camp, went out to kill some hogs, but this is how you know if you, if you’re doing life right, if your hands look like that, when you open a latte, you deserve that, all right, so he’s going to explain how you how you got to mount this and everything and make a bracket that goes on the bottom side by the od port, but because i have two things plugged in i’m going to drill a hole right here. I’M going to drill two holes, one for here and one for that little tip that sticks up right there to make it stop where it won’t rotate and give you a template. So you can just put this up drill your holes and get a flush mount.
I’M not gon na even use that trim crap just gon na leave it like that all right and i’ll video the process as well. When we do it all right, so there’s a template. It doesn’t stick real well see if i can get some light. I’M gon na put it right here. Kind of centered now be sure when, wherever you want to drill, be sure there’s nothing behind it.
We kind of looked at this. This is an open spot, so it’s probably a better way of doing this, but and take it easy to the edge of plastic. Okay hole number one swap out three eighths, i’m gon na just get this thing about there right to the left of it. There’S probably a better science to this, but we’re not worried about it and it’s gon na be fun and there you go. That’S what it’s going to look like so he’s already put it on the back side, and it should line up, might have to trim it a little bit, but there you go yeah right there, all right now we’re on the wire down got ta put this in!
Oh paul he’s calling about food plots. You have to step up your game and get that milwaukee, hey that metal piece it didn’t have enough. It didn’t have enough. The milwaukee did not have enough power to get through the sun. That was the problem.
They said claw seats, wouldn’t get you where you got to go, but here i am okay, so it’s in. I don’t have my phone on airplane mode. So let’s hope nobody calls because you’re taking forever you’ll live. Yeah. We’Ve done a lot stupider stuff you’re, not that important, i’m jealous how you mullet man, i mean look at this.
This is just ridiculous. It’S too much gray! Back there yeah, i didn’t notice some gray. What does it do with that and i’m older than you son? That’S three women in one house: that’s true!
So there we go so now when you turn it the reason why the extra screw, when you turn this it will it won’t rotate on yeah. That’S all you need now. What we’re going to do is we’re going to put this back up we’re going to run the wires through the firewall i’ll try to get my phone in there, video that as well and poke a hole through the firewall and then grab it on the other end And then those two wires hook up on the other side, so we’re going to probably put this dash up first and then we’ll run the wire through the firewall, all right, so alcohol air, your area, cleaned up, because you got this uh, this little template. So you know what stage you’re on and it’s got a double-sided sticky tape on the back, but you just clean it up to where it can take it back off and you’ll have to take that. But anyway we wanted to show you how that goes.
I ain’t trying to run it out, but i’ll just leave it filming you’re not going to put the sticky tape. No. What about that? Crap? Okay, i guess, if that nut side, nothing ain’t moving!
It’S good enough! You want to put tape on it later then go ahead, and then there’s a little allen head on a little nut in there that you can tighten to tighten that up the knob, so it doesn’t screw yeah a little set screw. So all right next thing we’re going to do is we’ll put the put it back up and then we’ll feed the wire down and then through the firewall when we start doing our video right all right. So we got the wires just so somebody’s gon na say. Well, you didn’t show step by step.
Okay. Well now i did so everything’s good got the wire run. Now we’re gon na fall underneath we’re gon na go somehow, and i don’t know if we get a razor knife or something and cut the firewall and stick the wire through or stick a pull wire on. The other end tape it and pull that through. But that’s the next step: dumbass foam, okay.
So what i did was i got my fish tape and cut it at a sharp angle, and i stuck my pocket knife. You can see it down there through the uh, the heels at the firewall and stuck it through that way. I could get my fish tape through as well and then on this end and then on this end, my fish tape. Come you know. Okay, you see it came up, there came through and then we got the wire taped to it, wrapped around it and taped, and i’m going to pull it back up the other end.
So i can get this wire up that way, all right, so you see where it was taped to my to my fish tape. I got the wire pulled up here and now we’re going to hook these two wires up and i’ll show you where we hook them up all right. So once you got your wire out, you’ve got put your wire loom on it, and then this switch right. This little you’re going to have to grab this yellow piece with some needle nose and then pull up like that. Hold that and then you squeeze this yellow piece and it pulls off and pull up at the same time.
So we’re going to get this wire kind of run over where we want it and everybody else, every video that we’ve seen it comes with this other connector. Well, all we got are these little wire splices. So this is how we’re going to do it, and this will be a video to figure that out, because nobody else has done that that i can figure out all right. So how do you use these things? What you got to do is you got to strip your wire back a little bit and then you’ll take the very end of it off slide, and you slide your wire over that just watch and i’ll shut up back in and then you tighten it.
So we already got the other side done. Okay, now take that end off where i can show them the now that end with the little slit is going to slide over the wire over there and it’ll catch. This little point right here and it’ll connect them both together. All right, i messed up while ago um i thought when we were filming that i was filming. Apparently, i wasn’t so like in the video you’re gon na see this section of the video it’s gon na skip to me.
Putting the second shift on the flywire on, or you know, with the first one already on, like i’m skipping a step like i didn’t mean to uh, i thought i was filming if you’re offended like i don’t care. I hope you crying yourself to sleep and driving your tears, like i didn’t mean to do it, but there’s a white and orange wire and there’s two green wires on the plug. It does not matter where you put the white wire or the orange wire as long as they’re on the the green wires. It doesn’t matter like clarity, doesn’t matter so you can put it either way. So, like the video, i don’t know why it didn’t record whatever.
I messed up, but the second wire shows me hooking up. It doesn’t have to be on a certain that certain green wire, just clarity, don’t matter just hook the two wires to the shift on the fly knob to the two green wires. Doesn’T matter what way? Sorry about that, actually i ain’t apologizing for. I didn’t mean to do it, but i just explained it so: let’s roll all right and it’s kind of tight, so yeah, that’s what she said.
Huh all right bear with me guys. I can see why nobody else did a video on this all right. There’S that now i’ll tell you from the people’s channel. Do you smell what colt’s cooking all right? So now we just so like i said we got the two green ones tapped in and then you just leave that unplugged.
You can zip tie it up like that, but that’s it now. Other people got the little connectors when you put the pins in there. I don’t have that, so that’s what we’re going to do if you do it, keep it away from your fuel filter as much as possible, because if somebody grabs when they go to change your fuel filter out, it’ll be right. On top of it, that’s right, maybe zip tie it down here or something, but we’ll do that later. It’S still on your filter line, but you’ll have enough slack all right.
My buddy’s got the owl cam, which is legit. If you ain’t looked into it i’ll leave a link in the video description but check them out, but this would be a little different because we could have a splitter, because the owl cam actually plugs into obd port. So he’s got a splitter which that one go ahead: that’ll go in there and you’ll have one for your camera and one for the easy link so that kicks that back on and then now the owl cam will come on and you’re gon na plug your easy Link into this end, so yeah all right. That said now, we’ll we’ll start it up we’ll go through the process and he’s got to download it on his phone and we’ll go from there. We’Ll start off all right.
So he’s already set up his easy link and everything, but you plug this in you’ll hook it up to wi-fi, and then you won’t hit the break because it’ll start it so you’ll just you know, follow the directions on your phone. You download the app connect via wi-fi or bluetooth, but i think it’s wi-fi and then you just follow the app. So just let it start up and then you’ll go up here to the top right, go to a vehicle and you’ll go to ec, not ecu profiles and then you’re going to go down here and pick what tunes you want. Now we just put the shift on the fly tune, so he’s going to uh standard shift on the fly tunes. That’S what he’s going to want right there.
So you’ll click that and then you can run through here and you’ll, see whatever tunes you want. So like this one zero to 200 horsepower, you can just pick whatever one you want. I’M gon na turn the camera off and we’ll look through and pick what we want and then i’ll before we do it we’ll come back all right. Of course this is. This.
Is all the missions on stuff we just put the factory dpf back on, but we’re going to do the ecm qr quick response? 0-200. So we’ll do install and please note yet we just want to proceed and i might cut the camera off here and there. While it’s doing it, it’s going to take a little while, okay, you just follow the directions, so it said turn the truck off turn it off and continue now you’re going to do on and continue, and now it’s gon na. This is the part.
That’S gon na have a status parts or whatever it might have a stats bar, but it takes a little while it’s only one percent done, so i’m gon na turn the camera off until it gets done and then we’ll go to the next step. All right. All right we’re at 99, so it’s about to be done. It’S going to run through it now you’re going to follow the directions says, turn it off: and press the button crazy thing. All right, it’ll be all right.
Ain’T! Nothing! Gon na happen. All right installation successful now, that’s what you don’t want to do, but it doesn’t matter he’ll be all right. All right!
Let’S go so don’t start it, though now we’re gon na go over here and go to uh yeah like don’t start it until it’s done just for future reference press the button all right, so we’re gon na go uh tcm files, transmission uh. There should be one on here that says: cam reset i’m trying to look at my phone. So do you see it cody? I can’t all right, you’re gon na want to do it. You’Re gon na wan na download that cam reset and you’re gon na install that proceed um and when this is done all right turn it in the off position continue turn on the on position continue and then it’s going to go through the you know the process When it gets close to being done i’ll come back on the camera all right, so once i got to like 98, it just finished real, quick and i couldn’t get it on camera, so we’re just gon na now.
It says turn it into off position so turn it off and then we’ll go continue and then now turn it on. Basically, you just got to follow the instructions continue and uh. Okay. Now it’s done so now we did the camera reset. Now we’re going to pick what tcm tune we want um.
Let me see these are all high pressure, tunes uh, i guess they’re they’re, i don’t i’m using low pressure, oem, i’m not running high pressure uh. I forget they update them all the time. I would run the second gear lock high pressure, uh media. I would run high pressure medium shifts. I can gear lock that’s what i’d wrong.
Well then, wrong message, woman at the well so – and you can always change it, but all right so same thing when this is done or whatever i’ll come back, when it’s almost done so turn it on the off position. You’Re gon na be doing this the whole time and just follow the directions on continue and now it’s gon na. So when this is done, i’ll come back all right, so i couldn’t catch it before it finished it finished now. It says turn it off. Oh okay and then on okay and then installation was complete, successful.
So now uh we we’re ready to roll um. So we’re going to go to dashboard this. You can set your gauges up. However, you want google how to do that, but i i just want to go see if that new dpf filter sounds good or not. You know as good as the factory one did, so you can start it.
You know whenever all right might just feather it. Just a little oh yeah, oh that sounds great. Oh bush, all right. Let’S go for a test drive all right boys. Let’S roll we’ve got a this place is the bomb.
I don’t know how many super duties. We got one two, that’s just badass, three, four and there’s old, seven. Three back there best engine ever made ain’t that the seven three yeah i thought so all right. What we got over here, hey cody. Did you forget?

We’Ve drove sounds good, though yeah he was just waiting for us old, copper up there. What you put it on now, let’s go to three put it on three. You should go that way: yeah! Let’S go left ! That’S on three!
So it’s a little more responsive all right, so we’re still on uh setting number three! So hey and those are 38 1350s and it wasn’t full throttle and it wasn’t full throttle. He said just just tap it in damn, but i lost my latte leftover. I know the way it just bounces off the trees. This sounds just so american, just like it sounds like freedom all right, we’re gon na take off.
We just switched it to number five shifts 
on the fly knobs working, so that’s how you hook it up a little bit of traffic, so we have to accelerate quicker yeah a little bit of traffic, so you know we might have to just take off a little Faster than normal, but yep right up to the speed limit, real, quick, all right, perfect, that’s gon na!
