What’s up l5p owners, we’re excited to release l5p unlock and flashing with the EAS link. Auto agent works from 17 to 23 l5p on ECM and TCM, so it includes t93. What’S slick about this is this? Is all you need? So if you have an auto agent, you can unlock and flash your l5p.

Now, there’s no extra functions or anything you have to do you basically plug in your OBD Port. You would link up to your technician. We would send you files and it does the unlock as it’s right in the file into the truck super slick. This is a 2020 L. I that we’re using today as a test vehicle run you guys through how uh slick this actually is, so we’re going to turn the ignition on.

We have our Auto agent plugged in all right, so we’re linked up. I go to ECU profiles. We got single level files here, we got switch on the Fly. We got trans we’re going to go ahead and flash a level five file in here. As you can see, it’s already been installed.
Uh I’m going to reinstall it here just to show you for video purposes, click on install and then it is going to go unlock the ECM as it’s writing the file. Once the file is done. Writing the ECM basically goes back to its locked mode, uh and every time you go and flash a file it’ll, basically just unlock it as it’s flash in the file. So it’s really easy to use all right, so our file has been written. We flashed in level five, so we’re going to go.

We just cycle the key, so we’re going to fire it up Dash, is clean, ready to go really exciting, for us makes our life a lot easier because to texture over files or to to have you guys, link up and us send you files Is obviously a very easy process, and so we’re really excited to be the first to be able to launch this and release to the market. So we’ve been doing lots of testing on this and we’re really excited to be releasing this so stay tuned for more  details good morning, ladies and gentlemen, especially the l5p Duramax owners. We have some exciting announcements for you guys. Today the weight is finally over after 8 years of l5p platform, Easy Link is now available on l5p Duramax.

Now what makes this announcements special is. This is literally all you need. You just hook this up to the OBD Port right here like this before we get into that. I want to give you guys, like a slight history lesson on the l5p platform, when the l5p ECM was first cracked, where you can upload custom tuning the method. Was you had to take your ECM out of the truck or buy an unlocked one from HP tuners?
But you could send your ECM off to HP, tuners, have them unlock yours or, like I said you can buy the unlocked one install it and do the immobilize, relearn and blah blah blah and write the tune file. That was the only way HB tuners had to unlock your ECM either way. I would say two years ago we had a pretty exciting announcement which, from HB tuners they started offering that you no longer had to mess with removing the ECM and sending it off and getting it unlocked. Everything could be done from your home, like from your driveway or from the shop that you’re working on edge also came out with their locksmith tool, which I’ll show you kind of looks a little intimidating and confusing at  times and then last but not Least, GDP Commander could also unlock your ECM from from your house as well. This is the GTP commander and this can unlock your ECM and right tune files on it.

So so far we have the HP, tuners ECM, upgrade cable. We have the edge locksmith tool and we have the GDP Commander. Those were the three tools that can allow you to take your l5p and unlock the ECM from home, which made it a lot easier for the l5p guys. However, the cost was kind of pricey, just because, with the locksmith tool, you had to buy the locksmith for 350 bucks, and if this is the only l5p you’re doing that’s a lot of money. But if you’re, unlocking tons of L5 PS, you get your money’s worth.
But that’s 350 bucks. You need an mpvi 3, which is also 400 bucks, and you need eight credits for it $ 400 more. In addition, so you’re looking at about $ 1,150 just to be able to unlock your ECM at home home and be able to write tunes on it. Let’S not forget tune. Files are anywhere from 900 to 1300 bucks for L5 PS.

So that’s why the l5p platforming is pretty expensive and pricey. With this Easy Link, though, you do not need the locksmith tool, nor do you need the credits. This is where things get pretty exciting because, like Neil said in the video that I showed you guys, all you have to do is hook it up to the OBD2 port and it actually unlocks the ECM. While it’s writing your tune file and then once the tune file is, is done. Writing it’ll, lock the ECM back again.

So that way nobody can tamper with the computer with HP. Tuners everything was done on your computer, so you had to send out your tune files to your calibrator, using your computer with like email and stuff like that, and then wait for the calibrator to email. You the tune file back and then you hook it up to the computer or hook up the computer to the truck and Flash to tune that way, which it’s not that big of a deal. But it’s not as easy as this Easy Link. How it’s just going to be all through your phone and the Easy Link is cloud-based, so everything is going to be on the cloud and on your phone literally, have access to probably 20 plus tune files, and you can mess with every single one of them.

If you want to, you can change it to hiss Rumble, you can do 30 horsepower 150 horsepower. The only downside right now for the Easy Link is that it does not have to switch on the Fly option on the steering wheel like with HP tuners. It’S not that big of a deal if you have an Easy Link, because you can pretty easily switch through Tunes uh just by reflashing, probably probably takes about 10 15 minutes. You know really. The only time you should be switching Tunes is if you’re going from race tune, which you know I daily to if you’re towing, something heavy.
That would really be the only time I switch through tune levels. A lot of people like to drive on tune two level. Two or three, and then they see somebody they want to race and then bump it up to five all a sudden and just put that much torque to your transmission that the transmission is not used to. That’S, not good for your truck, so in a sense. Having switch on the Fly was probably bad for a lot of people.

This option might be better for you. Easy Link has all the tune files on the cloud, whereas HP tuners, you had to request the tune files specifically from your calibrator, so you would just have your computer will just have tons of tune files that you just flash. That’S how it’s been done on the L5 piece. It’S still going to be a pretty popular platform, because those of you guys that have done the ECM unlock and riding tunes on HP tuners. If you do a lot of them, it’s it’s not that hard, but obviously Easy Link is going to be faster and uh quicker and easier to.
One of the things I’m most excited about is the fact that you don’t have to rely on having to buy credits. That was extremely annoying. For me, just the amount of money I spent on credits is ridiculous, so yeah all you need to do is buy this Easy Link. Auto agent 3 available on J motorsports.com 550 bucks tune.

Files are about 1250 to 1,300 bucks. Now I did convince the guys over at diesel R, to give you guys a discount. All you have to do is use JD, dub Montoya at checkout, and you get discounts on your tune, files, exhaust and all the other hard Parts, but make sure to buy the Easy Link from JW, Motorsports and uh. If it’s a common question, I rather actually just make a another video explaining everything, but this was a huge, huge news for the l5p community and I wanted to share it with you guys and let you guys know that now.

I will, however, tell the 24 to 25 l5p guys that you guys still have to wait. There is no update on on on those trucks. Yet, sorry guys. I get tons of messages and comments regarding 24 and 25 trucks they’re waiting for the tuning to be available, but it’s it’s just not there. Yet, when this Easy Link dropped, literally everybody in the l5p community knew within a day or two.

So when the 2425 l5p tuning is available, I promise you you’re going to hear it from somebody’s mother’s. Grandfather’S dogs, Sisters, kid: okay, it’s it’s going to be all over the Internet.
